  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello, I want to create a Service Pack for only use as Mail Hosting.

Do you have any suggestions? How do you use it?

Regards
Max

We have email-only subscriptions on our server. The DNS is hosted on Plesk, which helps SPF, DKIM and the webmail certificates work. The DNS then points the website to a different IP address.

One recommendation is that your external website is hosted on WWW.domain.tld and that you have domain.tld hosted on your Plesk server. You can then easily set up a deep-linking redirection catch-all webpage. The reason for this is that then domain.tld (which is typically used for email client settings) is pointing to the host which runs the email server.

It's a bit of a fudge... but it works!

Could you elaborate on how to setup the deep linking redirection catch-all webpage?

I want to host my shop on shopify but use plesk for email hosting.

For Shopify, simply route your @ DNS entry (the domain name itself) to 23.227.38.32 and your www subdomain as a CNAME to shops.myshopify.com. All other traffic continues to your own server, including your emails.

So I would just need to add it as normal domain with hosting etc.? But just adjust the entries as per your reply?

Or do I need to set it up as e-mail only?
