• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

(Yet another) problem sending notifications to gApps domain

New Pleskian
Hi everyone

I've been looking for information for more than a week about this problem, but no solution found has really solved the problem, so I decided to ask here.

I have a VPS with Plesk Panel 11 and I have a problem with notifications. I have my own main domain hosted in the VPS and notification mail is a email address of that domain. The fact is that when I try to send the notification to any domain hosted in my VPS which uses Google Apps (Gmail) to manage the mail I get an error. I try it in Tools & Settings > Summary Report. If I use any email address I can send the report (even if it is a gmail.com address) and it is delivered successfully. If I use an email address from a Google hosted domain it returns an Error 550 (mailbox not found). Disabling the mail for the affected domain I get a green message of mail sent, but mail does not arrive ever to the address.

Of course:
- I have double checked the email address is correctly typed (yes I had to state this).
- I have the MX entries in the DNS zones configuration. In fact I receive mail sent from any other place.
- I disabled the mail service for the domain.
- I checked that locals file has only "localhost" and "localdomains" does not contain the affected domain.
- I have checked that there is only one SMTP service running in the server.
- I have reset the POP and SMTP services lots of times.

As you can see I found a lot of people experiencing the same problem but solutions applied did not solve the issue (unless I applied it wrongly, but I don't think so).

Anyone could enlight me about this issue? Am I forgetting any thing? I would really appreciate any help or hint with this, since I am quite desperated.

Thanks in advance.

Now you need to check the maillog for what exactly takes place when your server initiates communication with Google server.

tail -f /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog
