If you are still using CentOS 7.9, it's time to convert to Alma 8 with the free centos2alma tool by Plesk or Plesk Migrator. Please let us know your experiences or concerns in this thread: CentOS2Alma discussion
I have migrated my plesk server to a new host and after everything was up and running, I checked the horde webmailer for my domains.
The webmailers did work well.
On the Tools & Settings - Webmail Services it says:
"If you need to hide a webmail service temporarily, disable it using the button...
Looking at the server logs of my Ubuntu 22.04 system with Plesk obsidian 18.0.56 I found many entries which are not covered by the plesk jails.
The most frequent of these are apache 404 and postfix errors.
The plesk developers eventually should take a deeper look at server logs and add filters...
I still have problems with the new plesk firewall.
After I set the timeouts in panel.ini to 120s I was able to activate the firewall and iptables -L did show all the rules.
Then I tried to block two IP ranges by adding a block-all rule to deny all incoming ports for 218.92.0.0/24 and...
My server has awstats installed from the plesk module installer but when I check the usage statistics it is completely empty.
At the top it says:
Last Update:
Never updated (See 'Build/Update' on awstats_setup.html page)
But where is the awstats_setup.html page??
A search on "awstats" or...
On my Ubuntu 22 LTS server, I frequently see errors like the following in the apache2/error.log
[mpm_event:alert] [pid 653600:tid 140299242296896] (11)Resource temporarily unavailable: AH03104: apr_thread_create: unable to create worker thread
My server is used mainly for email and I do not...
I frequently get messages from let's encrypt renewals like the one shown below.
When I check the expiration of my domain everything looks fine though.
My domain was already successfully renewed 9 days ago on March 6th and is shown to expire on June 4th.
There is nothing which shows an expiration...
I have 2 domains configured on my Ubuntu server and in the web interface both of them show up as secured by let's encrypt certificates.
As it is very cumbersome to check the expiration dates from the web GUI, I used to use a script which extracts the expiration dates from the certs on the file...
My provider did supply Plesk with German language setting and I have changed the interface language to English.
This works almost everywhere, but the descriptions in the extension catalog are still in German (see example picture)
Is there something wrong with the plesk language change module?
Plesk comes with modules for horde webmail and also for sieve and ingo to create server side email filters.

I migrated a server with plesk obsidian 18.0.50u2 on ubuntu LTS 20 to an ubuntu LTS22 server with plesk obsidian 18.0.50u2 WebAdmin Edition.
After I had setup the new DNS for my domains and reconfigured postfix I found that my horde filter rule was also migrated but not imported correctly into...
I have a Linux server with Plesk Obsidian 18.0.49 and I'm running 2 domains on it.
Both domains have Let's encrypt setup and sending and receiving mails used to work properly for years.
Two days ago I did transfer one of the two domains to another hoster and now I cannot send mails from that...
When I look into the log files of my linux server, I can see some frequent vulnerability access attempts which are not addressed by Plesk's preconfigured fail2ban filters.
I suggest adding filters for postfix-sasl and postfix-ssl as well as for apache-404 scans into plesk to more harden a...
Yesterday, my Ubuntu 18 server with Obsidian 18.0.36 was port scanned with ssh.
Plesk fail2ban did not block this scan.
Why doesn't the ssh filter kick in here?
The log lines in auth.log look like this:
Jul 2 01:14:30 host12907 sshd[14010]: Failed password for root from 64.225.102.51 port...
There are frequent attempts to brute force login to my mail server which show up in /var/log/maillog as shown below.
The filter in /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/postfix.conf does not detect those lines and thus does not ban the IPs in question.
I did check with the following command, and it indeed does...
I have enabled fail2ban and most of the jails are working properly.
I have also enabled the recidive jail.
Alas, I often see messages like this in /var/log/maillog:
Apr 24 05:30:10 h2731888 postfix/smtpd[32272]: warning: unknown[203.159.80.233]: SASL LOGIN authentication failed: authentication...
The default mail log file in Ubuntu is /var/log/mail.log which is also configured in /etc/logrotate.d/rsyslog
Plesk does change the default in /etc/rsyslog.d/plesk-mail.conf to /var/log/maillog.
Thus, logrotate does not work without modifying the rsyslog config file.
Is there a special reason...
After upgrade of my vServer from Ubuntu 16LTS to Ubuntu 18LTS I am missing the OCSP Stapling option on the Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS Certificate page
under Home > Subscriptions > myDomain > Websites & Domains > myDomain > SSL/TLS Certificates (see screenshots)

I am looking for a guide to transfer my plesk settings to the same server after a new installation.
As the support for ubuntu 16.04 expires in 4 months I want to re-install my vServer with ubuntu 18.04 without losing my plesk settings.
In the plesk migrator extension I cannot find how to export...
I have configured greylisting on the Tools & Settings -> Spam Filter page.
This used to work properly with amazon until the end of October but in the past weeks I noticed that mails from amazon don't get through anymore
From the mail logs I see that amazon uses different domains to send mails...
My system log always lists the above errors.
I am running Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS with Plesk Obsidian Version 18.0.23 Update #2 with 2 domains and lets encrypt certificates.
I followed the guide at How to secure a Plesk mail server with different SSL certificates (SNI support)
If I run the given...
