  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

8.2

Wow, their English is almost as bad as cPanel's... From the PDF:
19. Piped logs for Apache – So Plesk now to uses pipeloging for apache logs so that services work more efficiently.
"So Plesk now to uses pipelogging"???

unfortunatelly, no word about postfix support in the "what's new" pdf :(
If it doesn't support Postfix, I'm going to scream at them... Their customer support said that it would support Postfix.

Edit: As far as I can tell, that PDF relates a lot to the Windows version of Plesk, not the Linux one... It mentions some Windows-specific components.

It mentions both Linux and Windows specific information. But the PDF doesn't say which platforms are supported (RHEL/CentOS 5?), so I'd say this is not a complete document. Let's just wait till the release announcement has been made.

disapointing

I sure hope that there is more than this?

1. Openfusion
2. Horde updated
3. Better awstats support (previous months)

Whoopty Dingdong!

I sure hope they added support for centos 5. I'm tired of rh4 and fedora. I was also hoping for postfix support. And correct me if I'm wrong but isn't kaspersky more expensive than dr. web? Besides that, backups via api is nice. As is 25% quicker installation time.

Yep, spotted the 4.1 too. lol

Guess someone just changed the 3 to a 4, and forgot the bit after the period.

I am sorry but it looks more than a windows only release. Not many fixes or features for linux are included. Looks like they are heading for the windows only plesk, faster and faster....

i want postfix :(
let's wait for the release notes to be uploaded...

If there's no Postfix support, I'll be moving to ISP-Config...
