Hello,

Yes, I've done it at least 20 times this week. What OS are you using?

Thanks For Your Reply

I have:

Version psa v8.0.1_build80060928.14 os_CentOS 4.2
OS Linux 2.6.9-22.ELsmp

I have 3 problems since i moved to 8.0 from 7.5

1) The New PSA backups do not produce any reliable output
so i cannot verify if this was a safe backup and im
still not sure how to restore on the new version

2) Upgrading from 8.0.1 to 8.1 fails when we try
and i dont want to break plesk... so i leave it be.
Ive had countless all night weekend nightmares redoing plesk after
upgrade, Ive been using plesk since 2.0

Plus im also afriad to update the kernel and underlying packages
because every time in the past i did.. Plesk or Qmail or somthing
would croak! ... Mabee you guys have had better luck!

3) If this was stright php compilation i would'nt of had
extentions installed already. Its just that im not sure
how to not break plesk. I need to be able to install a much
needed extention named ffmpeg-php But.. i have to recomplie
php... Do you have any steps i could take to not break plesk?

I really appreciate your help. I need a good backup mechanism
because with this new version... though running solid... i feel
is at a dead end... I would like to upgrade plesk but to redo
it all from scratch is not an option at the moment.

Thanks for your time
Rick
