Hi,
Our current server uses Plesk Obsidian. When looking at the kernel version from the SSH command, Almalinux is 8.8 and can be updated to new kernel versions (Present: 8.9 - Future: 8.10). I think version 8.10 will also cover the recently released SSH vulnerability.

I want to ask you:
-Did you encounter any errors when the kernel was updated in Plesk 18.0.59 or 18.0.60?

I am not sure if fully understand you question, but Plesk updates do not include OS updates. The OS is updated separately, and the kernel has to be updated manually. I hope this answers you question.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. My mistake, actually I may have expressed it wrong. Actually, what I want to ask is, did you encounter any errors after updating the Almalinux kernel?

For example: There is currently a dedicated server running Almalinux 8.8 operating system and Plesk 18.0.59. We want to upgrade this server to Almalinux 8.9 or higher. We are worried about encountering any errors during the upgrade. Therefore, we need the experience of people who have upgraded before

I see. I have a couple of servers running with AlmaLinux 8.9 for a few months now and haven't any problems.

We were running with alma 8.9, now it has been updated to 8.10, but the interesting thing is that the kernel version that is currently running is 4.18.0-477.10.1 (8.8) when it should be 4.18.0-553 (8.10 ), this is causing slowness and a high value for cpu steal in monitoring. I don't know what to do or how to fix it! LOL

If you like to update your kernel you'll can do this manually as explained in this support article. Plesk does not automatically update the kernel.

How were you able to determine that the kernel is causing an issue? Maybe it is something else?

So, it's not the kernel, I updated to the latest version and the problem persists even with the kernel in the latest version, it was some update I received on these Alma Linux servers on 05/29

I still haven't been able to determine the cause of the problem or resolve the problem. I still have a very high cpu steal value
