• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hello Everyone:

My Plesk server has a subdomain as the main domain in the server configuration. Question, do I need to create an email for my server domain to send push notifications to customers? The notification are the ones that the server by default send to customers.

This is a translator sorry, Thanks☺

Jose

Server email notifications can be sent using the subdomain even if there is no specific mail configuration for that subdomain on your server. However, you should make sure that the "myhostname" parameter in the /etc/postfix/main.cf file is set to the hostname (in your case: the subdomain you are using for hostname) and that a PTR record for the IP address exists at your data center that resolves the IP address to the subdomain you are using as a hostname.
