Autoupdate fails: the log follows. Tried apt-get update and apt-get --fix-missing
It seems that it is able to resolve autoinstall.plesk.com

Plesk is down, performing full restart.

Looks like repository URL was unavailable temporarily because of a network issue. Have you tried to repeat update process?

Yes I did. The auto-update fails since April, so no, at least for my notion of "temporarily".
I tried to change the sources, but editing the sources.list file in /etc/apt/ seems to be overwritten

Update: I changed indeed the source of packages to a mirror Index of /mirror/autoinstall.plesk.com/ but the error is still there, despite the fact that the url of both files are correct! (it is enough to click on the link above to check it!)
I am stuck here

It is really your network issue. I can download these files without any problems. Please make sure that it is not firewalled, hostname autoinstall.plesk.com is correctly resolved, no mirror repositories are used.

Igor, thanks for the answer, but I can't agree: from the shell I downloaded using wget those files.
They've been placed in /var/cache/apt
Is there any way to tell plesk that they're already there and to use them?
Thanks

Try `strace apt-get update`.
Warning: This will output a lot. But maybe there's some hint as to what goes wrong.

Thank you all, I solved downloading the packages using wget and then installing them via dpkg -i
Now all seems to be fine.
Cheers

Yes @mow I can, and also the upgrade to Obsidian worked. I am just waiting now that the updates were installed in order to perform a
plesk installer add --components php74

By the way, I just discovered, with my great disappointment, that the dist-upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 is not officially supported: you're on your own. I find it hard to understand why plesk is needed at all

Yeah, same for debian 9 to 10.
But the "supported" upgrade from 8.8 to 9 requires manual intervention as well.
