Can't load templates

Just bought the product today.
Downloaded it, and went to install.
Getting an error on the MySQL page:
Error: Can't Connect to the Mysql server.
I've tried this on 5 machines running 2000 and 2003.
MySQL 4.1.1. Up and running.

Any ideas?

Thanks... that did it!
Kinda.. now I gto:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: xslt_create() in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\sitebuilder\admin_login.php on line 58

When logging into admin. :(

Try setting the root login password in MySQL to blank.

Ok.. past that one too.
Now i get:
Database Error
Incorrect Login

Thats a PHP module error. You probably need to copy the dll's that are in the php\dll folder to the windows system32 folder. Also make sure to edit php.ini to load the extensions required by sitebuilder.

Looks lik eit never put anything in the DB!
What am I missing here?!

I had the same thing happen. Looked in the MySQL database and it was empty. I deleted the database, uninstalled sitebuilder, reinstalled, with the root password as blank, and it created the database properly. Just another installation quirk.

Ok, after a couple of installs, got it.
Trick they don't metion: Don't create the DB. The install is supposed to.

This is the WORST program I've ever bought!
I've used freeware easier to install.

How I get the following when clicking on components:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: domxml_open_file() in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\sitebuilder\include\classes\class.predifined_site_structure_info.inc on line 58

Ok.. seems OK now.
Thanks for all your help.

Glad I could PAY to ALPHA test this for SW.

Alpha is right. I have seen the 2.0 version and it looks realy nice. I'm looking forward to running it now that I know the install tricks. :D

The good thing is, now that you have it working it will probably run without any problems.

If you have problems uploading your license or templates, make sure that the windows\temp folder is write accessable to the IUSR_ account.

Well, it's working for the most part.. but I have a blank dropdown for ftp host?!?!?!?!?!

PS.. any ETA on 2.0?

Got the FTP host. Good god they need some doc!
But... the login page asks for:
FTP Login: @
Password:
Site identity:

What the hack do I put in there? I see no password in the user profile.

Ok, created the user.
Gave it publish.
Logged in as it.
Get error on publish:
Publishing a site is forbidden. Please contact your administrator.

Check you admin settings. Looks like you have publishing disabled.

Double checked. Got a + next to the users anem under allow publish.

Look on the first page of the admin area at the bottom. There is a checkbox that says "Allow publishing sites"

Make sure it is checked.
