Error on installing/upgrading Plesk 12 on CentOS 6.7

Trying to install on CentOS and am getting errors:

ERROR: The Yum utility failed to install the required packages.
Attention! Your software might be inoperable.
Please, contact product technical support.


Tried everything I could google, but to no avail.
What am I doing wrong?

I would suggest you disable all third-party yum repositories like Atomic and others and run installer again.

I tried what you suggested, with (limited) success. I am now facing other problems, I hope you can point me in the right direction

please be informed that the Plesk Knowledge-Base is stuffed with an enormous amount of solutions and work-arounds in case of any issues/errors/problems and failures. In your case,

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

you could have found the KB - article 116916:

"ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)" when performing any changes in the Panel or database directly ( Plesk Knowledge-Base article 116916 )​

Thank you for the feedback!
I got things to work, and am able to access the DB now.
I did notice however that - being logged in as root - doing a # mysql - v
gave me an error: ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

So I had to connect first as admin, and grant some privileges to the root user in the DB as well:
Grants for root@localhost: GRANT USAGE ON *.* TO 'root'@'localhost' WITH GRANT OPTION
