Question Format for Back Manger exclude list

When adding exclusions, are line breaks sufficient or are commas needed in the text field for "Exclude specific files from the backup"

Option 1: Line breaks between entries

/httpdoc/path/to/excluded/directory1
/httpdoc/path/to/another/directory2

or is

Option 2: commas between entries

/httpdoc/path/to/excluded/directory1,/httpdoc/path/to/another/directory2

The correct way?
