  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Horde vs Atmail - Which is Better?

Consultant1027

New Pleskian
Just upgraded to Plesk 11. Don't have many users using Horde webmail. Wondering if I should switch to Atmail instead of Horde 4? May be a few users with Address Books so if they are about the same, the I would prefer Horde if it preserved the Address book (an other settings possibly?) Otherwise if Atmail is superior now would be the time for me to switch.

Well the fact is that I hate bloaded Horde BUT Open ATmail (free version) is not developed anymore. If I'm correct Atmail will be removed from later versions of Plesk too.

Well I really hope they will come up with some kind of replacement like Roundcube and Squirrelmail (hate-love it :))

I recommend an independent installation of Roundcube, its getting better and better each day ...
