• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Question How to update traffic limit setting without syncing or locking subscriptions

We wanted to increase the Traffic limit on all our plans. We found Plesk now has add-on service plans which will allow changing just this setting (adds to the limit), and that part works.

However it does not have an option to change "Notify when traffic usage reaches," so Plesk still sends alerts based on the original limit in GB. I'm not even sure it allowed a percentage years ago.

If we change a service plan the only option is "update and sync" which in my experience, for instance, loses any custom PHP Additional Directives for any subscription.

If we edit a subscription the only options are to "update & lock" or "apply & lock" which we don't want to do either.

Is there a way to change either the service plan or all subscriptions to a percentage?

Does subscription_settings: Hosting Subscription Settings - Documentation from Plesk Knowledge Base also lock the subscription?

My next idea was to maybe rename all plans to "old," create new plans, and move them to the new plan one by one while copying any PHP settings.

I tried a ticket but all I got was AI.

Hi, Steve. Frankly, I am not sure what the best approach will be in your case. I asked our support team to move the ticket in their processing queue, so one of our agents will get back to you soon. Just for future reference, if your case is assigned to the AI agent and its response is not satisfactory, reply to the email/ticket and ask for the ticket to be assigned to a real agent. That should do the trick.

Hi, thanks, they did reach out. I didn't receive a notification of your reply here, not sure why.

As I suspected, unfortunately there's no easy option. The workaround is to use new plans, however, renaming service plans is also not possible without syncing them. So after creating a new set of plans using percentages, for each subscription we will 1) view PHP additional directives, 2) change plans, 3) restore PHP additional directives.

Support suggested making some feature suggestions which I did. Hopefully they will appear there.
