• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Mass edit DNS for 1000 domains?

Hello.

I have put up two new MX-servers to check and clean mail from viruses and spam. What I simply will have to do is to remove the current MX-record:

domain.com MX10 mail.domain.com

to...

domain.com MX10 mx1.mymailserver.com
domain.com MX10 mx2.mymailserver.com

But I have around 1000 domains and to edit the DNS by hand really freaks me out. Is there a way mass edit them easy? Build a php scipt that edit the PLESK DNS-table maby and then use some script to rebuild the zone files? Any suggestions welcome.

You can do this only with scripting. The easiest solution is to directly edit the database and then run:

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/dnsmng
