  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

New Pleskian
Hello,

I am testing plesk and ran into the following issue - Windows 2022, new install of Plesk. I installed multiple versions of MSSQL and they are visible in the control panel:

I created a new plan and a new subscription. If I click on the subscription, I can create a new database and select from the available options:

However if I log in as the client and I try to create a database, it only provides me with the default options:

What would be the settings to allow users to also see all available options, except the default?

Thanks!

Hello,

There is a setting inside de Service Plan under TAB: Permissions that says "Database server selection".

Can you check if this permission is granted for the Subscription?

Greetings Paul

Thats correct, its the "Default Database Server" parameter under the Service Plan for "Microsoft SQL Server" that needs to select

Failed to connect to the database server: SQLSTATE[08001]: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server]Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [2].
