• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Permission Problems after rebuild Permission on /var/www/vhosts

New Pleskian
Dear forum,

Plesk 10.4 in use

after a permission change (by mistake as root) on all directories under /var/www/vhosts
I ran the script from
http://kb.parallels.com/en/6572

>For Parallels Plesk Panel 10.4
>
>Run the below commands with superuser privileges to download the archived shell script. Unzip it and execute it, providing the required domain name as an argument:
>
># wget http://kb.parallels.com/Attachments/kcs-20264/recover_plesk_directories-10.4.zip
># unzip recover_plesk_directories-10.4.zip
># sh recover_plesk_directories-10.4 domain.tld

Unfortunately all permission where new set but:
- incomming Emails from don't reach catchall postboxes
- I can't make a backup from a web (permission errors)
- I can't create a new web -> following errors occured:

Fehler: Domaindaten können nicht aktualisiert werden: Failed mail post-configuration: Can't create mail domain service: mail_Facade->createDomain() failed: mailmng failed: Fatal error: boost::exception_detail::clone_impl > > >(boost::filesystem::create_directory: Permission denied: "/var/qmail/mailnames/plesk-permission--test.de")

But directories outside /var/www/vhosts where not changed by my mistake, so what permissionproblen could still exist now?

Kind Regards
Michael
