Plesk 11.09 mu11- no Plesk login possible

GerdSchrewe

Basic Pleskian
After a few weeks having 2 V-servers with Ubuntu 12.04 and Plesk 11.09 (mu11) running without any problems, i suddenly could not login in via 8443 to Plesk on both! servers today in the morning.
Websites, Mail, webmail, Pleskstats had no problems, but i could not login to Plesk (Browser error 500).

Error log:
(at 06:47:35 i tried to login to Plesk)

2012-09-02 03:45:18: (server.c.1543) server stopped by UID = 0 PID = 15389

2012-09-02 03:45:18: (log.c.166) server started

2012-09-02 06:47:35: (mod_fastcgi.c.2746) FastCGI-stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_failure_redirect_url() in /opt/psa/admin/auto_prepend/auth.php3 on line 191

I reinstalled backups and everything works fine now. Plesk Login is possible.

Any Ideas what could be the reason?
Maybe a cronjob???
Thanx a lot!

here the same, couldn't login via 8443 since this morning.

Same here. Re-installed everything yesterday due to other problems. Then it worked. Today it stopped working with the same error as your's.

Best regards,
Stephan.

i suspect microupdate #11 (two servers with exactly this problem).
On another server with mu#10 i had no problem.
Hope the Parallel support team or abdi will read here next morning...

find a solution by starting the autoinstaller via shell and choosing to install a new component (in my case smb). now the panel works again.

Exactly the same error on both servers tonight again... cannot login to Plesk.
Tried the tip of "spreecon" to install smb but without success!

Could someone please send me in PM login credentials for this "broken by MU#11" server? We can't reproduce this issue on our test environments and want to check it on your server.

same here ...

same here.

i can reproduce even the solution to install a new component. than it works. but only for one day. next morning the described error is coming back ...

strange thing

Could you please provide md5 sum of common_func.php3?

GerdSchrewe, thnk you for login information. We will check this issue soon.

GerdSchrewe, we have checked your servers and found following:

MU#11 is installed there. We do not know how this MU#11 has been installed there because you have custom autoinstaller settings:

root@h2065793:~# cat .autoinstallerrc
SOURCE=ftp://ftp.stratoserver.net/pub/plesk/

which indicates Strato repository where latest available MU is #9.
Thus when next update is started by scheduler MU#9 from Strato repository overwrites previously installed MU#11 and it is lead to consequences described above.

I would like to ask other users with this issue - are you from Strato provider too?

Yes, I know that MU#11 is installed from Parallels but it is conflicts with MU from Strato!

Can reproduce blank Plesk login on Strato V-Server

Hi there, i have exactly the same error on at least one virtual server at Strato. Ubuntu 12.04.
Strato overwrites the plesk update configuration as far as I know with their own ftp source. From time to time i am manually setting it to original parallels update source to get the newest micro-update, as Strato provides those with a latency (maybe for checking compatibility?). Maybe the same happended at GerdSchrewe's server.

Any solution to get back access to Plesk GUI again?

Oh, I can as well reproduce the solution to install another component (selected mailman package) with autoinstaller. After that, the Plesk webpage is showing up as usually.

Mu#10 and #11 are from the parallel update source.
Strato requieres always a few more days to offer the newest updates.

It is only a conjecture that mu#11 is the cause for the error, coz it was the only thing i had changed in the last 2 days.

Strange is that the error appears every night exactly 5 Minutes after the webalizer statistics were calculated.
So i disabled webalizer and cronjobs on one of the two identical servers to see (compare and exclude) what will happen next night.
