Issue Plesk 12.5.30 suddenly won't show login screen

Last week I got this message when I tried to login at Plesk admin panel at https://<domainname>:8443

"502 Bad Gateway"
nginx

As far as I'm aware of, the server was not recently updated. (I checked the yum update log)

I searched for help articles and found this one and followed the instructions:

It tells to downgrade mysql server to version 5.5.35
Affects Version/s: 5.5.36, 10.0.9 a

installed version:

mysql --version
mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.47, for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1

Not sure if this could be the problem?

I restarted plesk, and rebooted the server without success. I ran repair tool (repair all), but after a few hours waiting there was no output from this command. I even tried to update to Plesk version 17, but it seems to stop at the last line:

version of currently installed Plesk:

Any ideas what to do?

Restart the server. If that does not work you could try to disable NGINX from SSH. Console command: /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213901805.
Download Xshell - http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/Telnet-SSH-Clients/Xshell-Free.shtml, setup a connection using your server ip, the root login & password then use the autoinstaller tool and deselect NGINX

thanks for your reply. I restarted the server but it didn't solve the problem. I ran the auto installer and it seems to hang. When I look into "/tmp/autoinstaller3.log" I see:

If NGINX is the problem you can stop it from console: http://serverfault.com/questions/290579/disable-nginx-but-keep-it-installed
Backup your files first. You can also repair Plesk, check this out: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/12.5/a...sk-administration/plesk-repair-utility.74649/

Hi,

thanks for your suggestions. I stopped NGINX but I keep getting the same message during login. (no login screen) I made a backup and tried the repair utitility, but it's running for about 12 hours now without any output. ("plesk repair all") Does it create a log file?

Hi again,

I put the repair command in the background so it keeps running, and it is almost running for 48 hours now. I guess thats too long and there must be something wrong? Would like to now why it's taking so long. (there's no output in the terminal while running the command, and if i'm correct there's no log file created by the plesk repair tool?)
