Plesk 12.xx schedulled backup hangs at 100%

Baris,

As to be expected and/or as I expected, something is not "proper" in your back infrastructure: the external backup server is too slow (and/or disconnects every now and then).

There are two ways to overcome the infrastructure issue:

a) go to a new provider, but note that this solution does not make sense or has any impact if your (local) server has a small backbone (for instance 100Mbit),

b) script the backup tasks for the various separate domains.

A script can be very useful, since it can allow for

- checking for changes in each domain (only if changed, make a backup)
- backup only domains with changes
- transport backups to backup server, by means of FTP or any other protocol

and the before mentioned functionalities are very similar to incremental backup, allowing a significant reduction in workload and traffic (hence speeding up the backup process).

Just a small tip...

Kind regards...

I too had the exact same issue as the poster. I have conducted the same steps and it seems to be solved.
