I had some problems with the upgrade from RC4 to RTM. Made a thread: Issue - Unable to update Plesk Obsidian 18.0.18 to 18.0.19 (RTM)

@Yitzchok Wagner

1. Make sure you set 'Early adopter' release tier in the Tools&Settings -> Update Settings
Screenshot - 2019-09-25T162508.718.png
2. Run Daily Maintenance script ('plesk daily' in terminal)

A quick question for @Anthony Is there an updated version of the 'Software Requirements for Plesk Obsidian page, more specifically THIS section of that page? i.e. one that gives the exact contents of the RTM (18.0.19) build? The data available via the link is out of date (as you know) but if Onyx users are busy debating Obsidian? Early Adopter OR General Release? ;) then knowing in advance, exactly what's inside the RTM (18.0.19) build in this area might just be the decider...

@learning_curve,
Software Requirements for Plesk Obsidian page, more specifically THIS section of that page? i.e. one that gives the exact contents of the RTM (18.0.19) build? The data available via the link is out of date

This page is specifically for Obsidian release. During the last few months, we've tried to keep it up-to-date but could miss something. What is specifically outdated? Also (insider info), we have plans to fully redesign this page to make it more useful and always up-to-date w/o manual updates.

What are the default spf settings? Can someone post a screenshot as Google mx tells me that dmarc not set correctly

Highlights for the current build

Dynamic List view is the default on new installations / promoted for existing servers

Dynamic List view, introduced in Plesk Obsidian, is now the default view on all new Plesk Obsidian installations.
The change is introduced via promo at the top of Websites & Domains screen, which launches a short guided tour through the new view:
temp_dynamic1.png

Mail autodiscovery supports Apple Mail
Plesk mail settings autodiscovery can now automatically configure Apple Mail on Mac OS, iOS, and iPad OS. The mobile configuration file is generated via GET request from an email client program to the following URL:

http(s)://<domain>/email.mobileconfig?emailaddress=<email>

The output file is an Apple PLIST (Property List) XML with all the necessary settings.

Right now we are working on support for Apple mail clients auto-discovery in Plesk GUI.

Besides this
Changed and clarified the consent form text shown when a user is prompted to subscribe to the Plesk newsletter. Plesk administrator will see the new consent form and the suggestion to subscribe on their next login to Plesk or right after updating to Plesk Obsidian.
consent1.png

Revamped and updated the default pages shown to visitors of domains without hosting, as well as the Plesk default web page.
web_default1.png
  • Verified that the Plesk mail autodiscovery feature is fully compatible with the default Android.
  • On newly deployed Ubuntu 18 servers, connections to Plesk are now secured with TLS version 1.3. On Plesk Obsidian servers updated from an earlier Plesk version (including earlier Plesk Obsidian versions), you can secure connections to Plesk with TLS version 1.3 by running the `plesk bin server_pref -u -ssl-protocols "TLSv1.2 TLSv1.3` command.
  • Updated PHP used by Plesk to version 7.3.11 to secure Plesk against a vulnerability found in earlier PHP versions.
  • Changed and clarified the consent form text shown when a user is signing up for a Plesk trial.
  • Plesk servers created via cloning now take less time to initialize.
  • On Debian 9 and Ubuntu 18 servers, the "Atomic Standard" and "Atomic Advanced" ModSecurity rulesets.
  • Updates of Horde, IMP, Ingo, Kronolith, Mnemo, Passwd, Pear, and Turba (Plesk for Linux).
  • Updated Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable to version 14.16.27033 (Plesk for Windows).

Mail Auto-discovery and Mail Improvements
  • Now we have a very nice helper for end-user to configure his mail client for mailbox on Plesk!
  • For Apple Mail user will scan QR code using the phone's camera. The Microsoft Outlook, Gmail and Thunderbird clients will be configured automatically when the user enters the email in the email client (this information is shown to the customer).
  • New UI options allow to specify a custom domain name used for mail auto-discover. The specified domain name will be used as an incoming and outgoing mail server for mail connections and auto-discovery on the server's level ("Tools & Settings" > "Mail Server Settings"). Mobile configuration files are now signed with domain or server certificate, so no extra confirmation dialogs are required from the end-user side.
  • Plesk now automatically checks whether the SMTP ports 25 and 587 used for sending mail are filtered. If Plesk detects such an infrastructural problem it will recommend possible ways to resolve the issue. (This improvement is available for all Plesk Onyx and Plesk Obsidian versions)
