• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

In general Onyx on 16.04 still generates many errors on various aspects, any unusual step on panel and boom - error, especially with additional official Plesk PHP handlers for FPM - it doesn't create default pool on /opt/plesk/php/X.X/etc/php-fpm.d (very old issue) and it randomly errors even with manually added pool settings from OS vendors' php pool www.conf

Personally I don't think that stable Onyx for Ubuntu 16.04 will be out in september..

!! BUG REPORT !!

When adding a SSL certificate to either server pool (Tools/Settings, SSL Certificates) or to root domain SSL certificates, the certs are not made visible in all domains or subdomains (respectively).
In Plesk 11 (my current prod) they were. It's a real pain to have to recreate SSL cert for each sub-domain.
Please note that Let's encrypt was activated on these domains to temporarily encrypt before I can add the real cert.

Thanks,

Not sure how this happens but
After updating to Onyx. The mail service won't start on startup? Is there anything that I need to do to enable this?

EDIT: I have fixed it by adding it to my startup doing systemctl enable postfix

Neither Plesk 11 nor Plesk Onyx have no such behavior.
Certificates from server pool are available only for server needs and not available for domains.
Certificates from domain pool can be assigned to domain itself or domain subdomains only.

Hello, Dominor!

Could you answer on the following questions:
- Which of system of initialization you are using? Upstart, SystemD?
- Did you perform dist-upgrade from previous version of Ubuntu?
- What build of Plesk Onyx is installed on your server now?
- Did you perform upgrade from previous build of Plesk Onyx?

Thanks.

I'm sorry if I'm asking a questions already answered,

Is it possible to upgrade Plesk Onyx pre-release to stable version without re-installing ? ( I have a environment setup already and i would like to continue to use it)

It's technically possible, but we do not officially support this upgrade path and thus cannot guarantee that everything will work fine.

1. as said - it's ubuntu 16.04 - so it's systemd.
2. no, I haven't used dist-upgrade, it was clean ubuntu 16.04 server.
3. latest one 17.0.6 #1.
4. no, it was clean install of 17.0.6 #1.

I've unistalled plesk onyx because it seems to have problem with charset with accent letter and long files ( è ò à etc. ). I have tried to modify the general httpd.conf file with AddDefaultCharSet but without success and also add the charset line into .htaccess of single domain, still nothing. So now I'm trying to install plesk 12.5 after I've removed the 17. but I get this error

Could you please provide more detail of this problem? How it may be reproduced?

I wonder which was your method of Onyx removal?
You can't install 12.5 version back because there have remained a lot of Onyx packages. You can install Plesk 12.5 only on clean OS installation.
