• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I currently have a 1and1 box with 512MB of ram. It is always at or above 96% usage. My question is do I need to upgrade or is this normal for Plesk to report ram usage this high? I got this box when they were cheap. I got a 2.4 ghz proc with 512 mb ram and 40 gb hard drive for $70/month and if I upgrade I will have to pay $140/month for 2.4 ghz, 1 gb of ram, and an 80 gb hard drive. I am not close to filling up the hard drive and would hate to double my price for essecially more ram.

512 Isn't much, but enough for smaller setups. The memory usage isn't something to worry about, linux/unix always use whatever is available. They think: it's there, why don't we use it. When another process needs the ram they free it immediately.

This is our output from the top cmd (2 Gb ram):
Mem: 360M Active, 835M Inact, 200M Wired, 63M Cache, 112M Buf, 549M Free

As you can see, 1,5 is in use, but only 360 Mb is active.
