Sitebuilder 3.x for Linux

You have to force the rpm install and then run sb_config and update the templates. The other thread on this forum covers this. Finally got mine to work.
 
ha, very true. Good luck. If you can't figure it out, post back here and I'll help the best I can with my little knowledge.
 
well got some erros, which did not stoped the upgrade.

funy thing, its not working, it installed successfuly, but now i cant get to the sitebuilder interface :S

can you paste a copy of your httpd sitebuilder configuration file so i can have an idea of whats going on, apparently thats whats missing.
 
sb_config --db_host localhost
Can't connect to MySQL server on localhost:3306: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
Please define proper connection settings using the --db_host and --db_port keys.
The PHP IonCube loader is not detected.
 
You have to supply the correct username and password to your mysql database.

Others can help on this one. Its the one you setup when you first installed SB.
 
hey thanks for your help, I thought I put in the right password username, still it won't work.
 
What is the error? The same mysql error?

If so, you might need to find out what the root passwd is.

Arent you sposed to be using 'admin' since there isnt a root account for mysql on plesk 8.0.1?
 
nullsystems is correct. You set the password on sitebuilder install.
 
Hi, I have had extensive use of Sitebuilder with previous versions and found now problems in publishing until 3.0

Server: FC4 linux
PHP5, everything up2date.

Apart from IonCube!

The ioncube install shipped with SB3.0 is 3.0?
Yet it needs 3.1 to work. Otherwise it tells me Ioncube isnt installed ( obivously is since you cant run sb without it )....
And it just fills my logs with " ioncube version < 3.1 etc etc "

Any ideas????
It seems as tho SwSoft sent out a version miss-match!

everything else works, just cant get past that
