Hi,

Is it planned to have a 3.x version of SiteBuilder for Linux ?

heulman

yes, yes, yes !!!

Is a french language pack planned ?

heulman

Do you have a link to confirm this info?

Will there be french language from the start?

More info please.

I see where a new release is planned for this week (week of August 4). That's good news. First, are you still on target for releasing this update this week and second, what features/updates does this new release offer? Thanks for your time.

That's wonderful! Thanks so much, I'm really looking forward to working with this new version.

Thanks for the link,

It all looks great, looking forward to trying out the demo. Hopefully the manuals will be a little richer than before. And the installation will be a little more autonomous.

Any update on the date? In my time zone we're 1/2 way throught the 8th.

Hi. I am not affiliated with SWSoft, I'm just waiting for this new release to come out just like the rest of y'all. I signed up for the e-mail updates, but I haven't gotten anything yet. :(

There was a post earlier about a link to the 'pre-release page'; it looks like that page is changing somewhat, so maybe the release is almost ready? I sure hope so, I have clients that I need to move from another host but I'm waiting on this new release to come out because the clients are especially interested in being able to customize the header image.

Anyway, sorry I don't have any more info...

Any update? Getting a bit depressed waiting for Linux to catch up with Windows.

TOO FUNNY! :p

I wonder if the 'technical difficulties' that are delaying our upgrade release are some of the issues that the Windows version seems to be having (take a glance at that forum)? Maybe they're working out issues with the Windows version so we don't have any problems with ours?

Oh, who am I kidding? They're probably paying more attention to the Windows version becaue Bill Gates=500 lb gorilla=his stuff gets everything first. :p

I'm still annoyed, though.

I'm trying to do the migration and am very confused. I backed up my 2x install and unpacked the CentOS file and there is just a bunch of rpm files. I then ran

bash-3.00# rpm -Uvh *.rpm

but I have no sb_config...

tnats,

Did you find any solution to this? We're having an issue upgrading on CentOS 4.4. I'm pretty sure it's because there is no remote admin for 4.4, but we're waiting to hear from SWSoft.

Oh, I saw such problem earlier...
You can fix your failed dependencies via downloading new site templates: they have new format (for SiteBuilder3.0) & depend of new sitebuilder package..
You can download them from here: http://www.swsoft.com/en/download/sitebuilder3/templates/

P.S. This problem is described in release notes:

- You should use new version of design templates instead of old. Template
format has been extended and old ones are incompatible with SiteBuilder.
Uninstall all the old template packs prior to installing SiteBuilder to
avoid getting "Failed dependency" errors.
