Issue SMTP not working to some providers

sittnermarco

New Pleskian
Hello,

when i send a mail from my server (with a wordpress contact form, not an existing adress) to a gmail adress it works fine. When i send a mail to another provider then its just stuck in my mail queue.
I tried postfix smtp first and then qmail but it didnt help.
I also added my server domain as reverse dns for my ipv4 and ipv6 and added an spf record for my server to the domain from that i wanna send mails.

How is it possible that gmail receives the mails and other providers dont?

I am using Cent OS 7 with Plesk Obisidan (up to date) and PHP 7.3.
I tried to find the problem in mail log but theres no mail log. /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog doesnt exist in my files. In /usr theres no local folder.

I would be glad if someone could help me.

Best regards
Marco

A lot of Plesk system directories are located in /var:

# grep var /etc/psa/psa.conf
...
HTTPD_VHOSTS_D /var/www/vhosts
HTTPD_LOG_D /var/log/httpd
QMAIL_ROOT_D /var/qmail
PLESK_MAILNAMES_D /var/qmail/mailnames
NAMED_RUN_ROOT_D /var/named/chroot
MYSQL_VAR_D /var/lib/mysql
MYSQL_SOCKET /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
PGSQL_DATA_D /var/lib/pgsql/data
PGSQL_CONF_D /var/lib/pgsql/data
DUMP_D /var/lib/psa/dumps
MAILMAN_VAR_D /var/lib/mailman
AWSTATS_BIN_D /var/www/cgi-bin/awstats
AWSTATS_DOC_D /var/www/html/awstats

Do you have a highly customized Plesk installation?

My VPS is hosted by Strato so Plesk was just a one-click installation for me. Maybe the install is a customized version but i dont know.
Im having a "logs" folder in my base-folder but it doesnt contain any maillog.
I also dont find the system directories, you described anywhere.

I'd suggest you contact Plesk Support Team. They will check and fix the issue directly on your server.

Also, check the command:
Bash:
# mailq

This should show the stuck mails and also the error/status
