• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Subdomain Permission Problems ...

I just installed a fresh 8.2.

Everything seems to work fine (So far) except Subdomains.

When I create a subdomain (Using the same FTP Account option), everything seems fine.

However, when I go to the subdomain via the web, it promps me for a username/password.

The following Permissions are set on the Subdomains Root Directory:
Plesk Domain User = Special Permissions - Allow & List Folder Contents - Allow
Plesk IIS User = Special Permissions - Allow
FTP Sub Accounts = Special Permissions - Deny

-----

The following Permissions are set on the Subdomains httpdocs folder:
Plesk IIS WP User = Special Permissions - Allow & List Folder Contents - Allow
FTP Sub Accounts = Special Permissions - Deny

** There are no other Plesk Permissions on this folder **

-----
I assume this is the reason, but why isnt Plesk setting the correct permissions on Subdomains when they are created?

** Note ** I have also ran "Currect Plesk Permissions Tool" and this did not change anything.

Fixed the problem, by logging in with the user and having them create the subdomain instead of the admin account.
