Backup ftp problem

I'm trying to make a backup over ftp with the Plesk tool. FTP works fine from the server with Plesk to the ftp server in command line, with "ftp" command. But when I configure the ftp properties and make a ftp backup, Plesk says:

Unable to fetch dumps list from ftp server: ftp_filemng: error: cURL execution failed: couldn't connect to host

System error 9: Bad file descriptor

Any idea?
