Same problem

I was getting the same problem, I ran the MU updater and I got conflicting reports. First the updater reported that the update was successful, then in the control panel there was an error notification that update 40 failed. When I go to updates in the control panel the panel thinks the update was fine so updates is grayed out and I can not reinstall the update. Please someone advise, I have several websites that are now resolving to the default page. These are domains on unique IPs and not the common shared IP. Please help.

OK I have manually checked and reinstalled updates via the command line using:

ai.exe --select-product-id panel --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base

I am restarting and will report back.

My ISP reinstalled my server from scratch last night, everything was working well, I added MSSQL2008 from the install and upgrades now the Component php5_4 isn't supported error is back, MSSQL2008 cannot be uninstalled either hosting a MSSQL2008 database is the only reason I purchased this server in the first place,

database install failed: error below, how do I manually patch index.php ?

Hey Nick247-IT, try the following from an admin command promt:

ai.exe --select-product-id panel --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base

I am no longer getting the error. I did have a sync problem happen, not sure if related but half my websites were stopped in IIS but showing as started in Plesk. I started them manually and so far so good.
