• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Question Subscription is locked and unsynced when the mail service is disabled

Hi Plesk forum,

We have this scenario where we're hosting websites and dns for clients but their mail is hosted somewhere else for example, gmail or hotmail. For this particular client we then disable the mail service. In the service plans, the mail service is enabled by default.

The issue is that when we disable the mail service, the subscription goes locked and unsynced. And then I have to unlock & sync again.

Is there any way I can disable the mail service per subscription without locking & unsyncing it?

I think one possible approach is to clone the service plan and then use the clone with the disabled mail setting to update existing subscriptions.
That's what I am doing as well. Have separate Service Plans with mail disabled for customers who a use external mail service.

Thank you for the workaround. For now it definitely helped me! But it's sad that I cannot choose to disable the mail service per client without completely attaching another service plan.

Thanks!
