Important Skins and Color Schemes

we need to control color, if you go to brand the panel it will work only with light colors of logo, it not working dark color background and dark color logo

When I try to install the extension, it gives me "Can not find client 'admin'" (see attached). My plesk login name is not admin. Perhaps this is the cause of this bug? Despite this error, it seems to have installed and there are only two skins that look almost identical. Are there other skins available? I was looking for a way to skin the webmail. Is this possible?

@finbarr69 thank you for letting us know about the installation error. The Skins and Color Schemes extension is a bit outdated and currently does not serve much purpose.

Plesk does not have any themes for webmail. However depending on which webmail solution your are using (Sogo, Roundcube or Horde) you can probably find themes for those offered elsewhere if you search for them. I know that there are quite some themes for Roundcube available (for purchase).

The issue @finbarr69 has mentioned still persists after more than a year.

When you change the default admin username to anything else and then try to install the extension, you'll receive an error and only ONYX and OBSIDIAN themes will be available.

Changing the username back to "admin" and reinstalling the extension does NOT help.

I would love to apply a skin to differentiate between my Plesk instances. Please fix this!

Here's the error message when you restore Plesk from a backup:

I'm not sure if the error is due to not having an "admin" unsername, or if it is just something that didn't survive the update from Onyx to Obsidian, but either way, this is surely not a horribly complex piece of coding to fix.

I agree that being able to provide colour changes, or having a range of pre-defined templates used to be a handy thing for those of us running multiple instances of Plesk. Surely someone at WebPros International could be spared for a few hours to fix/enhance this plugin?

@celebrir and @lemoneye regardless of the error when installing the extension, there are currently no other themes offered for Plesk Obsidian. Hence installing the extension isn't of much use.

If you like to use a different styled layout you can create your own custom theme or use theme created by other users. Some posts that might help you get going with this are:

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Because the screenshot in the extension store showed many themes, I thought that the error message messed with the installation of the individual themes. I even lack the "Click here to specify your own colors" buttons:

I suppose it's just misleading at this point then.

Thank you for guiding me towards these posts.

@lemoneye It's a fresh install from last week, so I haven't been on Onyx.
I totally agree. I believe this should be rather trivial. At this point it's not incompetence but rather a conscious decision, not to care about themes, which I find saddening.
Same goes for the lack of dark theme for this forum. ... It's a Xenforo installation which is really easy to modify.
